American Marriage Ministries (AMM) is a Federally recognized 501c3 non-profit that ordains ministers through the website http://theamm.org. In addition to providing the legal standing to officiate wedding ceremonies and sign marriage licenses, AMM guide officiants through the ceremony creation and delivery process, and advocates for their ministers across the country to ensure that everyone can marry who they want, in a way that reflects their values and beliefs.
Beyond the scope of marriage equality, AMM is committed to leaving this planet a cleaner, safer place and helping to ensure the families that are united in marriage by AMM ministers to enjoy the same, or better, world than the one their parents inherited.
“We are a 501c3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to leaving the world a better place than we found it, and that includes offsetting the carbon footprint of our operations,” explains Lewis King, Executive Director. “We want our partnership with Carbonfund.org to inspire our ministers across the world to examine their consumption habits, and find ways to reduce our collective carbon emissions.”
By joining the Carbonfree® Partnership Program, AMM has donated to support carbon emissions reduction and renewable energy projects, and has neutralized 36 metric tonnes of its annual operating emissions. Carbonfund.org welcomes American Marriage Ministries to the partnership program.
