Corporate Relations Manager

Before joining Carbonfund.org Alterra worked for National Wildlife Federation with major donors and events management. She has been active in social and civic affairs including work with Central America Relief and Medical Aid, Arlington REEP, FreeCycle, International Honors Society, and Friends of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Alterra graduated with honors from George Mason University with a BA in Global Organization Management. She also has completed, with honors, the coursework for her MA in Public Policy and International Affairs (with a focus on International Environmental Policy) from Virginia Tech. 

Alterra has a long legacy of conservation, politics, and advocacy in the DC Metro region. She has traveled extensively in Central America. In her free time she likes to play in the dirt with her 5-year-old son Chase and her husband Frederic Lemieux.
