Non-profits

Non-profit organizations are on the front lines of the key issues of our time: education, health, poverty and, yes, the environment. While the pay often stinks, nonprofits are out making the world a better place for all of us. Sometimes our missions intersect, like the link between poverty and HIV or health and environmental protection. Non-profits have a lot of reasons to work together, to share our energy, commitment and passion and to leverage our limited resources.
Through our CarbonFreeTM program, Carbonfund.org works with other non-profits to educate their members about the threat of climate change and the simple steps most people can take to “reduce what you can, offset what you can’t.”
Non-profits can join our CarbonFreeTM program by making a commitment to reduce all or a portion of its carbon emissions and reaching out to its stakeholders. We can also develop joint fundraising programs with other nonprofits. To qualify for the CarbonFreeTM program, you’ll need to commit to completely offsetting at least one or more of the categories below:
- Office emissions
- Air travel
- Ground Transportation (If applicable)
We also work with our non-profit partners to reach out to their supporters, who are often active in their communities in many other ways, and encourage them to reduce their impact as well. Non-profits are also encouraged to hold CarbonFreeTM Events. Non-profits that offset all of their emissions not only have access to CarbonFreeTM branding and outreach material, but the 100% CarbonFreeTM designation as well.
Note the non-profits making these commitments throughout our website. Clicking on their name or logo will take you to a dedicated partner page where you can learn about the commitments and outreach made via the CarbonFreeTM program. Start your CarbonFreeTM participation now and make an impact on climate change today.
Contributions to Carbonfund.org are tax deductible as allowed by law.
