The CarbonFree™ Congregations Program offers innovative and flexible choices to help you reduce your carbon footprint to zero. We’ll help you meet your carbon reduction goals and help you communicate to your members, guests, employees, community and other interested parties.

Becoming a CarbonFree™ Congregation is easy:

1) Think about what you’d like to offset. Some examples:

The energy use of your building, if you have one

Office space use

Worship services

Mission trips or other activities

Congregants’ driving to your place of worship

Special events like picnics, fellowship dinners, fairs

All of the above

2) Send us an email and we’ll help you calculate your footprint

3) Offset part or all of your footprint as meets your goals and budget

4) Provide us with some information about you so that we can highlight you on our web site and work with you to communicate with the your members, guests, the community and others

5) (optional) Develop an outreach program with Carbonfund.org to further educate your stakeholders and your community
