Oberlin College Commencement 2008

This year, Oberlin College’s Commencement/Reunion weekend is going CarbonFree™! By offsetting the carbon footprint of our event with Carbonfund.org, Oberlin College is reducing its impact on the environment by supporting climate-friendly projects around the world.
We encourage this year’s graduating class, family members and alumni to learn more about how they can purchase carbon offsets, decrease their use of energy and responsibly dispose of any waste generated during this event.
Flying?
Use Carbonfund.org’s calculator to calculate and offset the CO2 emissions emitted flying to and from Oberlin College. Be sure to check the radiative forcing box to fully offset your footprint. Enter the first few letters of the city or the 3-digit airport code, and the calculator will provide you with available choices. Distances shown are round trip.
Driving instead of flying?
2,000 miles roundtrip—Offset it with a $4.00 donation.
1,000 miles roundtrip—Offset it with a $2.00 donation.
500 miles or fewer roundtrip—Offset it with a $1.00 donation.
