Urban Property Management became CarbonFree® to set an example to other property management companies and to our clients. We’ve offset our carbon dioxide emissions by supporting energy efficiency and renewable energy projects with Carbonfund.org. We use energy efficient compact fluorescent bulbs in our office and at all the properties we manage. We install setback thermostats and monitor the use of common area heating units; heating units are used only to prevent pipes from freezing, not for a comfortable temperature. Our janitorial staff uses environmentally friendly cleaning products. We are also considering all future vehicle purchases to be hybrid vehicles.
