Description
Greenscroll is a non-profit organization created to fight climate change in the real word, on the battlefield of the virtual one. Recognizing the growing environmental footprint of the Internet and the infrastructure involved in running it, the mission is to power the Internet by green renewable energy and help save the Earth. Greenscroll does so by working with people and organizations in making their websites environmentally friendly. On their behalf, we pump green energy into the grid to power the websites and hence the Internet.
Commitment
Currently we offset the footprint of websites for our subscribers by purchasing RECs from Carbonfund.org. We are also working on a program to help companies with big data centers to make them more energy-efficient.
