Earthwatch Institute is an international non-profit organization that brings science to life for people concerned about the Earth’s future. Founded in 1971, Earthwatch supports scientific field research by offering volunteers the opportunity to join research teams around the world. Commitment
We offset 100% of our staff travel and are pleased to support CarbonFund’s “basket of projects” when offsetting our events and our staff’s ground travel. In addition, we encourage our 4000 volunteers, who travel annually to 130 different project sites all over the world, to offset their carbon emissions through organizations such as Carbonfund.org.
