Since 1983 Caligo Ventures has specialized in group travel for natural history clubs and organizations traveling principally to the famed Asa Wright Nature Centre and Lodge in Trinidad & Tobago, as well as to Venezuela, Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, Ecuador, Peru, and Kenya. Caligo Ventures is committed to the concepts of ecotourism and we work exclusively with local operators and tour guides in the countries that we visit insuring that the economic benefits of our travel programs have a significant impact on the local economy of our host countries. Additionally we provide educational scholarships, donations of field guides, binoculars, telescopes, and fundraising support to encourage the development of ecotourism in the nations that we visit.
