Globe Aware
Description
Globe Aware, a nonprofit 501(c)3 charity, offers volunteer vacations in Peru, Costa Rica, Thailand, Cuba, Nepal, Brazil, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Jamaica, Romania, Ghana, China and Mexico. These short-term (1 week) adventures in service are similar to a “mini peace corps”. All program costs and airfare are tax-deductible. No special skills or language required. Commitment
Globe Aware has committed to offsetting its carbon emissions with Carbonfund.org. Our carbon footprint is estimated at less than 70 tons annually; we have chosen to support carbon-reducing projects in renewable energy to offset the CO2 produced in running our offices worldwide and the transportation to and from our work sites. Globe Aware is an environmental leader in the volunteer abroad community. Carbon offsets to fight global warming are a natural extension of the volunteer work done in the communities where we work.
