Prestone Printing Co., Inc. Has been in business for over 55 years and is ranked by Graphic Impressions Magazine as one of the 225 largest printers in the United States. Prestone is an independent, family-owned printer with on-site owner-management located in a 55,000 square foot facility in Long Island City, New York featuring 5 multicolor 40” sheet-fed presses, an Indigo based digital department, and complete in-house bindery, die-cutting and fulfillment departments. In 2008 Prestone was named one of Crane’s NY “Best Places to Work.” We were also one of 5 winners of Mohawk Paper’s 2008 competition of fine printing and Prestone was awarded Certificate of Merit for Environmental Excellence by American Printer Magazine. We are FSC and SFI certified and dedicated not only to energy sustainability but also to good corporate citizenship towards our customers, our employees, our community and our world. We stock only post-consumer waste recycled paper for house use. We use digital and process-less plates to minimize chemical processing. We use vegetable based inks and automatic blanket cleaners, we recycle all manufacturing waste and office paper. We also participate in NY State’s Energy Research and Development Authority’s Energy Curtailment Plan to reduce energy loads at peak demand periods. We use low impact lighting and efficient energy practices throughout our establishment.
