The Girls in the Vineyard

The Girls in the Vineyard is a silky, food friendly Cabernet Sauvignon produced from sustainably farmed high country grapes. The girls are the vines and their character translates directly to the bottle.

Environmental Commitment

The Girls in the Vineyard was founded on the ‘pinch test’ philosophy. This philosophy forces us to answer one simple question before making a decision: “Does it make sense?”

After answering this question, decisions become easy.

Does it make sense to buy Chinese glass when we can get it locally? No.

Does it make sense to build charitable donations into the business plan and implement a strategy where the donations are made automatically? Yes.

Does it make sense to show people pictures of our pets, when what we are selling is wine? No. Does it make sense to farm the grapes organically? Yes.

Does it make sense to offset the carbon emissions we are unable to eliminate? Yes. and so on...

"From sustainable farming practices to minimizing paper use we have always tried to be mindful of our impact…so when we had the opportunity to partner with Carbonfund.org to offset all of our shipping related emissions it easily passed the pinch test!"
