Green Power Purchasing & Renewable Energy Certificates
MyGreenFuture is Carbonfund.org’s Green-e Energy certified renewable energy product via the purchase and retirement of renewable energy certificates (RECs). By supporting renewable energy, your business is making a commitment to clean energy production. This also allows your business to claim that it's powered by renewable energy, even if the local utility does not offer it. For every unit of renewable electricity generated, an equivalent amount of RECs is produced.
MyGreenFuture RECs can be used to meet most certifications,
including:
LEED® (NC, CI, EB-OM):
LEED is an internationally recognized certification system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). It measures how well a building or community performs across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts.

EPA’s Green Power Partnership:
The Green Power Partnership is a voluntary program that supports the organizational procurement of green power. Carbonfund.org Partners who have purchased MyGreenFuture RECs include: Discovery Communications, Hines, Esurance, JetBlue, and Yakima

Product Content Label
MyGreenFuture is a Green-e certified renewable certificate product that is only available for commercial donors. For every unit of renewable electricity generated, an equivalent amount of renewable energy certificates (RECs) is produced.
Your contribution to Carbonfund.org and selection of the MyGreenFuture option supports the purchase and retiring of RECs that support renewable electricity generation, which offsets conventional electricity generation and its carbon dioxide emissions. Carbon dioxide emissions are a major cause of global warming. MyGreenFuture enables you to reduce your carbon footprint by supporting renewable electricity projects that offset the CO2 from conventional power plants. The product will be made up of the following new renewable resources averaged annually. You will continue to receive a separate electricity bill from your utility (if applicable).
