Biomass Digester –
The Inland Biomass Digester collects cow manure
from farms in the area, and natural microbial
action converts the manure into methane. The
methane is then used to power a desalination plant
to provide water to surrounding communities.
Not only does this process prevent methane from
entering the atmosphere (methane is 23x more
powerful than CO2 as a green house gas) but
remnants from the digester is made into organic
fertilizer. |
