We all know that the way we design our lives, products and surroundings has important impacts on the environment.  The way we design our cities and towns is especially important, and Iler Planning is helping in the fight to create a sustainable future.  By planning more walkable, livable towns and cities through greener master plans Iler Planning helps reduce greenhouse gases and promote resource conservation.  And communities benefit from lower costs and resource use in addition to the environmental good they create.

For Iler’s cutting-edge Green Master Plan with the City of Doral, Iler Planning received the 2009 Outstanding Innovation in Planning Award from the Florida Planning and Zoning Association (FPZA). The FPZA presented the award at their annual conference in Tampa on June 12th.  Iler is in its second year as a Carbonfund.org CarbonFree® Partner, reducing what it (and cities!) can and offsetting what they can’t.
