NEBHE Utilizing Best Practices in Greening Event
New England’s thought leaders in higher education, government and business are meeting Monday, May 4th to consider the economic challenges and advantages that come from incorporating sustainability into the fabric of higher education and explore higher education’s role in creating a greener future for all.
As a result, the New England Board of Higher Education is exploring best practices in sustainability for the conference including offsetting the emissions generated by the event through Carbonfund.org. In addition, the NEBHE encouraged the use of public transit to reach the event, use of recycled materials for registration and exhibits and also picked an environmentally conscious hotel as the main venue. Check out their working list of best practices for events.
