mosaic 21 680x1024 MOSAIC selected for “Circle of Excellence” by SmartCEOCarbonFree® Partner Mosaic of Cheverly, Maryland recently received the distinction of joining SmartCEO Magazine’s “Circle of Excellence.”  A committee of business leaders identified CEOs of 10 companies from the Washington DC / Baltimore area that model excellence in 10 categories, which was published in the June edition of SmartCEO Magazine.

Co-owners Brendan Connors and Joe Fontana were recognized for their outstanding achievements in greening their company’s operations, setting Mosaic apart from competitors in their industry.  With a pioneering move in 1993 to switch to waterless printing, Mosaic is also certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), and in 2008 became one of only a handful of printers that is participating in the EPA’s Climate Leaders Program.  Meanwhile, Mosaic is purchasing wind-generated electricity and offsetting their carbon emissions through reforestation projects.

Reflecting the values of the Mosaic brand and its leaders, Mosaic continues working on ways to reduce its environmental impact by offering a UV printing process that eliminates volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) from the ink.

Congratulations Mosaic!
