Dell Named Number One Green IT Brand

delllogo Dell Named Number One Green IT BrandCarbonfund.org is proud to congratulate our partner Dell on being named the number one green IT brand. A recent survey by Strategic Oxygen and Cohn & Wolfe found that among top information technology buyers in 11 countries, Dell outpaced all other firms in its green offerings. Dell has succeeded particularly in its recycling program, the most important attribute sought by IT buyers according to the survey.

Michael Gale, president of Strategic Oxygen, noted, “Given Dell’s long-term and consistent commitment to sustainability, I am not surprised to see it at the top.”

Dell has also been a leader in carbon offsetting. Through Dell’s Plant a Tree for Me program, consumers can offset the carbon footprint of their laptops, desktops, monitors, and printers. This highly successful program has brought carbon offsetting to many Americans and greatly enhanced the offsetting movement.
