Our partner, Amtrak is celebrating National Train Day with coast-to-coast events, including in Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

In DC, Carbonfund.org will be on hand around Noon at Union Station to help the public and Amtrak riders learn more about offsetting their travel. Celebrations include celebrity sightings! National Train Day spokesperson and American Idol judge Randy Jackson will host the ceremony at 10:10 AM, followed by live music from Karina Pasian, and Venessa Carlton. There will also be exhibits and a kids depot.

With its partnership with Carbonfund.org, Amtrak allows its customers to offset the carbon footprint of their travels, supporting Carbonfund.org’s third-party verified projects.
