ngs offering has received great interest in the media and blogosphere, which have encouraged couples to consider carbon offsetting in support of high-quality projects as a part of their commitment to a green wedding. We are pleased to welcome another supporter in our fight on global warming who goes by the name of Miss Peep Toe in Weddingbee.com’s blog.
To offset her eco-chic wedding this year, Miss Peep Toe researched the market price for a carbon-neutral nuptial, and decided to choose Carbonfund.org because of our nonprofit status, commitment to transparency, and flexible offsetting options. In her quest to find out the best offsetting option, she even went out of her way to calculate the average travel distance accurately on our wedding calculator, which can been seen on her blog posting. Miss Peep Toe also credits Carbonfund.org for being on the Environmental Defense Fund’s Carbon Offset List.
The $56 billion wedding industry (The Wedding Report) accounts for a large carbon footprint due to travel, hotel stays and one-time use of apparel and accessories. It is encouraging to know that there are people like Miss Peep Toe, who understands the relevance of offsetting as part of a wedding.
