Bacchus Press Addressing Footprint from Paper & Printing

Most people would be surprised to learn that the paper and printing industry has ranked fourth among the manufacturing industries in the amount of energy used. Producing paper and the electricity used for factory operations, as well as the actual printing process, demand lots of energy.

bacchus Bacchus Press Addressing Footprint from Paper & PrintingOur partner Bacchus Press understands this. Mansoor Assadi told me that Baccus focuses on being a green printer by reducing their environmental footprint in a number of ways including better inks, digital printing that produces less waste, and recycling chemicals that are used in the printing process. Where they can’t reduce their environmental impact they are offsetting. Bacchus Press became a CarbonFree® Partner in November 2008 as one more way to take action in its commitment to be a green printer. They’re launching a new website soon and hope that its increased functionality will allow them to do more green printing.
